when past meets present

Sunshine and Moonstone
In fashion, they say that everything old becomes new again. Trends from the past are revisited, revamped, and relatable to the times. But what about your own past? I decided to revisit my old wears and realized that they have life to them yet.

Take my converse for example. They used to be my go to shoe. They're simple, pretty durable, and they seem to work with everything. An underrated iconic piece that anyone can pull off.

The vest is a different story. We went through a lot together. I bought it in 2009 at Diesel in San Francisco(the one downtown, not Castro). When I saw it I immediately gravitated towards it. It was trucker, it was soft, it was flowy-amazing! One of my least regretful buys ever.

The shirt, although, was bought a few days ago. I found it while perusing the tees at Crossroads Trading Co downtown. I just had to do it. It was crazy soft like silk almost and had little metal buttons that I rarely see on t-shirts. It may not be my past, but it's someone else's and I bet they regret giving it away. But now it's mine, mine, mine!

The jeans were stolen from my sister...so I guess the story behind that is bad karma on my part. Sorry sis!

But my favorite piece would have to be the necklace that my cousin Merlee gave me. I'm assuming its moonstone, but I can't be too sure. The pictures don't seem to give it justice as it glows blue in the light and has a little rainbow strip on the back. Definitely a great piece to add to my mon existent jewelry collection. What are some favorite things from your past that can be worn again?
